Has it been already a week since last time? Anyway, here's some more Heroes! comic strips for you all!

My very first attempt to Heroes-ify Booster Gold. Yeah, it was that bland...

Today I offer you not two, but three more episodes of Archers! and one Superbuddies! - which features my favorite beloved but sadly underrated couple of the whole DCU. And yes, they're both alive in here :P

After properly reading the first issue of Mr. T, I gotta say if Eric Wallace is taking "Karen Starr" where I think he's taking her (as in away from her Earth-Two Kryptonian origin), I think I'll just wait for Grant Morrison's Multiversity series or Robinson's Earth-2 JSA book to make up for whatever new travesty is in store for this character. It's enough to say I'll even take Power Girl 2.0 to this newer version if she doesn't turn out to be the Peege I love and care about.

As it stands, she's been presented as the billionaire CEO of Starrware (that much is still intact) who makes "white girl" comments, and is apparently Mr. T's occasional fuckbuddy. So far I ain't diggin' it.

While, we're on the subject of rebooted origins, here's a look at 1990s Peege back when she thought she was Atlantean.

TL;DR version: Amnesia and bad continuity have left Wonder Woman unsure of her abilities, so she asks the JLA to monitor her next 12 missions to make sure she's still fit for duty.

The Bloodlines have ended. The heroes of the DCU are now finally able to assemble against the Parasite threat, but will it be enough? Or will it be the fall of Earth?

18 pages of a 56 page story.

I have to also warn you that while the art of the Annuals each had specific teams who were used to the books they were on... but the artists who worked on Bloodbath varied, and the art seemed very rushed at times. (Including having a page that I won't post with Martian Manhunter on it that hurts my eyes)

For the entirety of the crossover the Parasites attacks were very US based (as the aliens ship crashed near Metropolis), the only attacks that occurred outside of the US was this annual in which some of the Parasites come to England. (Though the latest New Blood related story seems to imply despite what we see of the Parasites attack patterns they likely did go global but that's a post for another day)

So there you have it, my never-gonna-happen fantasy OTP. Then DC hadda go ruin everything by making Max all Evil!Psycho!Villain!, and we won't even discuss what they did to Sue *shudder* But ah well, we'll always have Superbuddies!

This is written by Mike W Barr in 1983, in "old school" mode, which means it's a story with a beginning a middle and an end, "done in one", with no need for angst or ghastly foreshadowing. It's also pencilled by Curt "I probably drew Superman more often professionally than anyone else in HISTORY" Swan so drink it up, it's some goooood stuff!

Flashpoint, a 1999 Elseworlds, gave us a world where the only superhero was Barry Allen.. yet Vandal Savage's the villain, and J'onn J'onzz is kind of important to the plot.

(Well, okay, I guess it's not too hard to imagine a universe where the Last Son landed anywhere else, Joe Chill fired three bullets, Paradise Island sits undiscovered, Abin Sur never crashlanded, and so on....)
