I looked through the Lian and Justice League of America tags, and I didn't find this page. This is Roy introducing Lian to his new girlfriend, Hawkgirl. (It comes right after that panel in the Lian megapost the other day, of Cheshire hugging Lian in the prison cell.)
( On Duty: Red Arrow. )
As for the fanart,
sharpest_asp is doing a Lian Deserves Better ficathon through March. I got nothin' for fic, but the idea for this sketch popped into my head, and after ruminating on the details for a couple days, I did this quickie version. Really quickie - it's the work of about an hour, and the scanner cut it off a bit at the top and bottom, so don't expect Michaelangelo.
( Y'all may hate me for this one. )
How 'bout it, guys. Forgiven DC yet?
Tag wrangling - char: hawkgirl/kendra saunders, char: lian harper, char: speedy/red arrow/roy harper, creator: brad meltzer, creator: ed benes, genre:fanart, group: justice league of america, publisher: dc comics, title: justice league of america

The Halls of Fate, Part Four
Oct. 21st, 2009 01:03 pmIn our last chapter, Hector was subjected to bodysnatching, psychic intervention, ancient wizard dickery, and finally found a long lost someone. In this chapter, we get two reunions, a fight, and a lot of history hopscotching between DC and Vertigo. Twenty-five pages from six issues, spread out over JSA, Infinity Inc., and Sandman.
Also features the second-creepiest panel of Hector ever.

The Halls of Fate, Part Three
Oct. 17th, 2009 05:52 pmIn the last chapter of our merry tale of What The Hell, we were treated to a boatload of genetic and esoterical confusion, courtesy of the Hawkfamily, a demon, a wizard, and Dove. In this chapter, we get more build up, a lot of supposed therapy... oh, and plotholes. Big ones. But after the first two chapters, you should have seen that last one coming. Twenty three pages from six issues. I tried this time to limit the ranting. Sort of.

The Halls of Fate, Part Two
Sep. 4th, 2009 02:18 pm(Now with 30% more ranting!)
In the first chapter of our story, Doctor Fate was reincarnated as someone several of the older JSA members knew well. In this chapter, we get a quest, a resurrection, and some nice, old fashioned WTF. Forty pages spread out over JSA #8-#46.

The Halls of Fate, Part One
Sep. 1st, 2009 04:00 pm(yes, I know, bad pun, shut up)
Anyway.
After the events of Gaiman's Sandman, it's revealed in JSA Secret Files and Origins that Wesley Dodds, the man who fought crime under the name Sandman in the 40s, still retains the "gift" of prophetic dreams that he gained in his encounter with Morpheus. And so our story begins with a death, a murder, and a reincarnation.
Thirty two total pages from Secret Files, and JSA #1-4. So very not dialup friendly.
