"So many heroes in the Marvel Universe are affected by this. Finding that perfect and honest balance is so hard and yet so satisfying. It’s one of those stories only Marvel could do and you want to do it well." - Brian Michael Bendis

"For me, the biggest challenge was limiting the number of X-Men on the team. There are so many great X-characters; it was honestly very difficult to narrow it down to a manageable size.

But it all came down to creating a team that felt classic and iconic but also fresh and new at the same time. There are elements of the roster that harken back to the classic [Chris] Claremont/[John] Byrne years, but also new developments with certain characters, like Old Man Logan and young Jean Grey that make these old relationships totally new again.

THOR #374 has a Thor moment that might not be awesome or whatever, but I still think it pretty cool. Mainly because how Thor reacts to some very bad news. Guest-starring Angel, Cyclops and Marvel Girl!

"Everyone has a judgment, but whose is right? Should Jean be held accountable for things that she has not done yet? Should she be stopped before it happens again? Is a crime a crime if the person who committed the crime hasn't committed it yet?" - Brian Michael Bendis

Marvel.com: The Guardians usually find themselves on the other side of the law, yet their teaser word is "Judgment." Are they passing judgment on the X-Men or helping the teens escape judgment?

Brian Michael Bendis: Right there, that is the reason to tell the story. Everyone has a judgment, but whose is right? Should Jean be held accountable for things that she has not done yet? Should she be stopped before it happens again? Is a crime a crime if the person who committed the crime hasn't committed it yet?

We've wondered about Jean Grey's telepathic ethics. So here's another example of her using her telepathy in a way that is ethically questionable.

Spectacular Spider-Man #197, 198 and the first few pages of #199 are a team-up of Spider-Man and the original X-Men. Some time ago, Professor Aaron Power wanted Charles Xavier to restore his son, Matthew. Things did not go well.
