Okay, so taking a cue from Icon, and as a rebuttal to a characterization of Wonder Woman in a recent post, I wanted to share a story from the new Sensation Comics that I really liked. It's less than a month old in print form, but in web form (which I'm copying from) it's older... so I think that makes it okay to go to 1/3rd?

Equivalent to 6 out of 20 half pages from chapter 12, and 8 out of 24 of Chapter 13.

Hope we're still in a Star Wars mood! A while back I posted part one of the What If style story, where mechanical failure prevented Luke from destroying the Death Star. The rebellion is mostly wiped out, and Princess Leia is in the hands of the Empire.

Luke, and Han narrowly escaped the Imperial forces, and now are having a little disagreement on how to proceed.

Following "Batman '66", DC's next Digital First title, is the Lynda Carter inspired "Wonder Woman '77"

Now it has to be said that, though Batman 66 set it's own surreal tone, Wonder Woman 77 was more of a product of the late 1970's... Disco... a certain post Bicentennial afterglow of patriotic fervour and the pesky, pesky Russians....

So what could be more natural... )

I'm gonna say while it had some high points, Supergirl Vol 5 was a bit of a mess until Sterling Gates took over as writer. Kelly Puckett's storyline about cancer, isn't as off kilter as the quick change retcons around her origin, and reason for being on Earth... but is probably the weirdest arc in the book... so let's take a look at it.

Welcome back to [community profile] scans_daily's 30 Days of Winter celebration! Sorry for dropping the ball yesterday, I guess it ended up being a lesser-known day (bum-duhm-CHING), but today we'll be discussing Street-level Heroes.

You all know them, the crimefighters, the detectives, the typically (though not always!) non-powered types. They usually do their heroing on a smaller, more personal scale, keeping an eye out for your everyday crimes, and sometimes things a little bigger than that.

My favorites?
As if it's a surprise to anyone at all anymore... )

So who are your favorite street-levelers?
And make sure to stay tuned tomorrow, when we'll be discussing Last Stands!
As always, you can find our full schedule here, so you won't miss a day! even when we do! /o\

Bluefall's recent WWwA posts got me to thinking about one of my favorite and highly unappreciated couples. The best two Wondie supporting cast characters ever and I had to create both of their comicvine pages myself. It's a crying shame, that's what it is.
But here I am, ready to educate the masses on the awesomeness of their relationship.
