"When we do big events like this, we usually employ one writer and one artist. However, this story is so huge – it cuts across the entire Marvel Universe – we thought it would benefit from additional brainpower. So, we tapped five of our most popular writers (Brian Bendis, Jason Aaron, Matt Fraction, Jonathan Hickman and Ed Brubaker) and three of our most popular artists (John Romita Jr., Olivier Coipel and Adam Kubert) to do this story." - Axel Alonso

Storytellers: Jason Aaron, Brian Michael Bendis, Ed Brubaker, Jonthan Hickman, and Matt Fraction

There's just not enough time and space for it.

Those parts that can't be told in full have to be in part, with just enough to get the idea across.

Last month's Doctor Strange did this well with the Empirikul's attack on 616's magic.

It opened right on it. )

There are two distinct stories in this arc. The first has Leia, accompanied by smuggler Sana Starros, dropping vader's sidekick, the recently captured Dr Aphra, off at Sunspot Prison, the Rebellion's most secret pentientiary, where she can be kept until trial. And then there's a rather unusual prison break.... kinda

The second has Luke and Han going on what SHOULD have been a simple supplies run, but Han gambles and loses the money they were going to use to buy everything, leaving them flat broke in a dodgy neighbourhood.

An interesting ethical dilemma )

And we discover that a certain insult in 'Empire' might have a grain of truth to it )

After a "short" break because of... well, the apocalypse... we finally return to Jane's story as thor.

"The story is not constrained to just the fantasy genre. Imagine if you took all your favorite weird genre stories, all the best B-movies of the 1970’s, and crammed them all together into one setting. That’s Weirdworld." -- Jason Aaron
