So we've had

Batman '66
Batman '66 and The Green Hornet
Batman '66 and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Batman '66 and Steed and Mrs Peel
Batman '66 and Wonder Woman '77

And they've all been pretty good

So what could possibly come next?

Superman 55? (or indeed Superman 78?)

Nope!

And I can pretty much promise it's NOT who you're thinking of... )

I've been enjoying the Jem and the Holograms series (and so was sorry to hear the series will be cancelled with #26), and LOVING the Misfits mini (seriously, I've held off on posting anything from #2 because I need the 1/3 rule to make the required impact)

And so, at ECC and courtesy of AV Club, IDW announced what will be taking it's place and... well... it's not quite what anyone was expecting...

Now, as we sort of know, there are few people Damian actually likes. He respects a couple, loathes several and disdains nearly everyone else on the planet. But people he actually LIKES, we're probably limited to Colin (who seems to been lost in the New52) and of course, his big brother and favourite partner in crimefighting, Nightwing.

So what could possibly increase tensions between them?

Perhaps the only thing that Damian is ALWAYS concerned about

It's been confirmed by IDW that the ongoing Jem and the Holograms series will end with #26

But in the words of the song from the show,

This is Farewell. Farewell But Not for Ever. )

Frank and Joe Hardy, the Hardy perennials (Sorry, couldn't resist) of the "plucky teenage detective genre" have a new series coming from Dynamite in a couple of months, and Dynamite Entertainment have released details, covers, and model sheets via entertainment Weekly, and they seem to have going a VERY different route this time.

Which should surprise no one, since the Hardy Boys have been re-invented more times than Batman in their ninety year history, spanning multiple book imprints, two TV series (three counting the Mickey Mouse Club adaption), a psychedelic 60's cartoon, comics and graphic novels..

This time around we seem to be looking at something akin to Hardy Boys Noir, as a very different Nancy Drew joins them in...

A chill wind blows across the face of the Earth;

In Arkham, the Scarecrow wraps his arms around his legs and rocks backwards and forwards, mumbling consoling words to himself.

Sinestro shudders, even the vacuum of space could not cause the cold sensation running down his spine.

Even on the grim world of Apokalips, the mighty Darkseid raises his head and utters that rarest of sounds, a laugh (if a sound like slamming coffin lids down a mineshaft can be called a laugh), as he realises what has transpired on Earth.

What could cause such galactic levels of terror? )

So Marvel decided to post the #4 preview already and tried to keep the reveal about how Hawkeye decision went... but screwed a bit by mistake.

Warning, spoiler ahoy!
