So according to Bleeding Cool, 2013 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie producer Micheal Bay was talking about the new movie at 'Nickelodeon Upfronts' last week. Here's what he had to say:

Also, to follow the rules, and this one feels appropriate for this news:

Hello, Scans_Daily! I'm a little late today, but here is TMNT Issue 4, with 7.5 of 22 pages. Once again I'm going through the story, so spoilers under the cut!

Last time, we saw Casey and Raphael getting lured into a trap by the cat-mutant, Old Hob and his gang...

And I return as promised, with more heroes in a half-shell in Teeneage Mutant Ninja Turtles Issue #3. Again, I'm running through the storyline in this entry, so spoilers beyond the link!

7 of 22 pages posted.

Change is the only constant. )

I have to say, I really, REALLY love Dan Duncan's artwork in this book. It's rough like I'd want a New York-based comic to be, has so much freaking character to it, and the marker-style inking is PERFECT...also, the colorist is Ronda Pattison, who's done work on Atomic Robo, Next Men, and Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters. A woman comic artist working on MY Turtle book? YAY. <33

So, reality kind of kicked my butt for awhile, and I haven't been on Scans_Daily in months. Man I missed you guys! <3

And I never continued my scans of IDW's new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle series, which I started with Issue #1 back in Septmber. Time to rectify this. This time, I'm going more in-depth with the story, so be forewarned, there be spoilers about!

I've got 7 of 22 pages, plus a preview panel from Issue #1. When last we read TMNT, a homeless Raph has just barged into a home where a father was beating his son, Casey. Raph doesn't like bullies...

The beginning of a beautiful friendship... )

I'll probably do one issue post a week until I catch up to the series, then wait a month so I can do 7-page entries for each issue. I also highly recommend that if you like what I post, to pick up the ongoing and/or the first TPB (with issues #1-5)

Now a question to the MOD's: The TMNT series currently has a microseries going, showcasing each individual turtle. It plays into the storyline of the ongoing, so does it count as a separate entity and scan accordingly, or use it as part of the ongoing?

So while the big comic buzz last week was the beginning of DCNu, a certain well-known franchise got it's own fresh start. IDW launched the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 on Wednesday, and I feel it's my obligation as longtime TMNT fangirl to share.

Now, I while there are some spoilers behind the cut, none of them are super huge, so use personal discretion. One of the scans has a moment of physical abuse, so I'll put up a trigger warning to be extra careful...

Also, this is my first time posting an entry here, so I kindly ask you to be gentle let me know if I've broken a rule/missed something so I can fix it. ^^

Hey hey, the gang's all... )

Tales of the TMNT #25

Issue 25 of Tales of the TMNT was a big-honking special issue, with a bunch of stories and artwork. I thought I'd post bits from two of my favorites:

6 and 1/3 from one, 1.5 from another, and a few pinups... )

PS: The full, uncut version of Turtles Forever is available for viewing on the 4Kids! site. It's still super-fantastic, and actually fixes the tiny nitpicks I had (i.e. April and Casey get some screen time to kick-ass).

PPS: Here's some bonus Art! Here's Jack Kirby's version of the TMNT, and some TMNT art by Rick Veitch from the Smithsonian.

PPPS: Has anything noticed something up with the Photobucket editor? When I open a picture, it shrinks the image. Weird.

If we're going to have a Martial Arts Week, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles just gotta be represented. So I present the Leonardo One Shot (originally published by Mirage) IN GLORIOUS COLOR!!

Picked this up from the news-stand way back when the film was in general release. I may be giving away too much but this is one of the first comics I ever owned. I'm not sure whether the B/W version was limited or not but I've only seen coloured copies since.

In any case, this the the last seven pages of the comic, with a final page scene having NOT appeared in the movie.

Layouts by Kevin Eastman, script by Peter Laird, pencils by Jim Lawson, with inks by Eastman, Laird and Eric Talbot.

From TMNT Adventures #20-22. This arc has it all. Giant Monster Warrior Dragon vs Foot Ninja Bot, Cyborg TV News Reporters, bad art (well for one issue), ironic death traps for Splinter, Raph joining back up with the group after a brief adventure in space, and of course the return of the Shredder.

"Have you ever wondered why “The Forever War” 5-issue story arc was never printed in Archie Comics’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures? Let me tell you a story…"

Last time... )
