A bit of a mixed bag - the Exodus and Apocalypse stuff felt like utter nonsense, and it would've been nice for New Krakoa to have more than just one spokesperson to ramble meaningless exposition - but as a coda it gets the job done adequately well.
"Krakoa survived 15 years on their own in the WHR? Clearly, they need stronger leadership!"
It took him too many pages of fight scenes to realize that mutant-kind had moved on, particularly since Xavier managed to do it without throwing a punch (metaphorically).
Apocalypse and Xavier are two vastly different characters. Xavier accepts that mutantkind has moved on without him, while A sees not only have they moved on, but they rejected his philosophy wholehardedly and decides, "No, it's the children who are wrong."
So I'm guessing not having an overcaffeinated Drama Club running the island, but letting the Model UN Club have a go, actually turned out to provide a more stable form of leadership for the population?
Its implied that it was less the failings of a Quiet council but more the not having to deal with Orchis and outside threats against them born of hatred and bigotry that allowed them to succeed
I mean, it's *also* the failure of the old Quiet Council, too. The new Quiet Council, as Kafka explains, doesn't talk, they listen, hence why they call themselves the Quiet Council. And it's listening to everyone that allows them to build a better society.
Max, what is that haircut? I really like Noto's style, but man, the last panel of the first page is just Charles's head with a bad wig on it.
Oh, and not to let something like math get in the way of enjoying my fantasy comic, but 15 years for 15 million resurrections? That's one every 30 seconds. 15 seconds if they're merely working 12 hours a day every day for 15 years. Guess they got real good at it.
I haven't been able to track all the threads of this - who's ending Krakoa dead? The entire non-Wolverine cast of X-Force? Anyone else prominent?
I mean, a bunch of Genosha had *already* been resurrected, so it wasn't like they were resurrecting all 15 million.
And who is ending Krakoa dead? Pretty much nobody. You can make an argument that anyone who died was resurrected in the White Hot Room, either before they came back (because they needed combatants) or during the fifteen years.
The only ones who died and stayed dead were the villains.
I was just having a bit of fun with the math, as it isn't an important thing when it comes to comics. But if you tell me that their average pace was actually one resurrection every 35 or 40 seconds then I think that's just as silly. I'm perfectly happy to have there be no explanation other than "it makes the story good".
Better hope they didn't just get lazy and forget to check whose personalities were going in what bodies. What's the worst that could happen?
"I don't mean to complain, but I'm pretty sure I didn't have a tail before." "Ah." "And, uh, I'm pretty sure I was in my forties when I died." "Err..."
Well, they could start by replicating themselves. Or let the Mimic copy Madrox powers then let the Mimic-dupes copy the five multiple times and run 40-50 ressurections in paralell.
In fact, the Mimic plus Madrox could solve any number of problems such as war with the Eternals, a grumpy undead Celestial lurching around, etc.
So, since the main characters, that returned first, were gone for, what, at least a week+ then they must now be centuries old. They look really good for their age.
Well, that's disappointing. Not surprising, but disappointing.
I wonder if we'll ever get Hickman's original plan. Krakoa ended as well as could be expected under the circumstances, but I can't help but think that Hickman had a more coherent plan.

Like how does that even work for people born on Genosha or Krakoa? Or people who were dead for 15(?) years.

To the Nice Farm Upstate, of course!

They are going to see their families and relatives. They still have those.

Is this going to have any bearing on the present and ongoing stories of the books?
And what ended up happening with Beast?
