Now that's a deep cut in to Transformers lore!

I haven't heard reference to Astoria Cartlton-Ritz outside of that one cartoon episode. As a kid I had a vhs of The Girl Who Loved Powerglide, so it has a special place in my heart. (The other episode on the tape was Rise of the Primitives if anybody is interested.)

It's not the only absolute reference.
The Ask Vector Prime entry about Sergeant Cahnay of the Human Alliance figure heavily implies that movieverse Astoria and Auggie Cahnay did it.

(At this point, brain bleach would be offered, but it's been mysteriously drained.)

"Human Alliance" was a subbrand of the Dark of the Moon toyline. One of the figures in it was called Sergeant Cahnay, but as was (is) the style he wasn't given much in the way of biographical information.
In 2015, the facebook Ask Vector Prime feature said that this Sergeant Cahnay was the son of an unpleasant racecar driver and a flighty hotel heiress, alternate versions of Astoria and "Trans-Europe Express" character (and unlikable jerk) Auggie Cahnay.

Mercifully, Carlton Cahnay turned out like neither of them.

flighty hotel heiress

is she somehow a Paris Hilton parody (the name makes sense for this)... which makes no sense as The Girl Who Loved Powerglide would have existed long before Paris entered the public consciousness.
