NS: Thunderbolts* discussion

Thunderbolts* just came out. While I thought the last Captain America wasn't as bad as people made it out to be this was definitely a huge improvement. The characters are great; I loved seeing John Walker (Wyatt Russell) and Red Guardian (David Harbour) again. Florence Pugh gives a great performance and Julia Louis-Dreyfus finally got a chance to do something after the cameos. While I'm sad Steven Yeun who had drop out for scheduling conflicts Lewis Pullman does a great job as the Sentry.
I think there's a lot of potential with this team and I hope Marvel revisits them soon (I know the actors have been announced for Doomsday but everyone and their mother is there so who knows how much they'll do).

It helps it had a theme around mental health throughout the movie. Plus, an antagonist whose power - among many other powers - was basically weaponized depression.
Although, if you're like me and hated David Harbour in Black Widow, then you'll hate him here, too. If it wasn't the barrage of his bad Russian accent, it was the barrage of bad David Harbour humour. He had a few chuckle moments, but overall, it was just too much and felt so out of place.
Aside from that, I really dug it. Great action. Great character moments. End credits was interesting but nothing you wouldn't expect from MCU end credits at this point. The asterisk pays off pretty much as I expected.
Oh, and for the love of Kirby, don't make a drinking game for the number of times you hear "Bob."

But to each their own, and I like your other points.
