[personal profile] stretchdude posting in [community profile] scans_daily
My first Dreamwidth post. Huzzah.

I've been sitting on this for a couple of months now. Presenting 9 out of 29 pages, wherein Lisa makes an unusual friend...

After Mr. Burns' latest brush with Death (who is now teaching his daughter the family business), Smithers unveils "Big Monty," a computer programmed with Burns' personality and designed to activate when Burns finally dies. Smithers assures Burns that Big Monty is "foolproof."

So yeah. No prizes for guessing who accidentally switches it on early. Monty connects himself to the Internet and searches for an active user...

The next day, as Lisa and Monty chat at recess... (Fun fact: Monty prefers Spiderwick over Twilight.)

Skinner tells Bart that he's suddenly received a full scholarship to some fancy-pants academy for boys. Lisa is less then thrilled for her brother.

One page I'm sorry I had to cut for the page limit: J.K. Rowling replaces Miss Hoover. "Your first assignment will be to write a new last chapter to my final Harry Potter novel. And girls, it's just fine if Harry falls in love with you."

Anyway...

Monty's generosity begins to backfire, however: Superintendent Chalmers finds out about Springfield Elementary's new funds and makes SE a magnet school, resulting in massive overcrowding; Marge is a sobbing wreck with Bart gone; and Homer used his million-dollar check to build a new Moe's in the basement and hire William H. Macy to play Moe. (Oh, and Burns discovers someone's been draining his bank account to make charitable donations.)

Faced with the unintended consequences of his actions, Monty decides it's time for he and Lisa to meet.

With Monty gone, the status quo quickly restores itself.

"Intolerable cacophony?" Ah, so he's a fan of Brian Eno.
