perletwo: steph brown is robin (robin - steph profile)
[personal profile] perletwo posting in [community profile] scans_daily
(X-posted to robin_daily, sorry if you have to see this twice.)

I've been wanting for a while now to see art of Steph and Tim, as Robins, teamed up. I even considered commissioning a real artist to draw it. But a sale on markers at Hobby Lobby nudged me into taking a crack at it myself.

No, I don't know how Tim ended up with Nightwing hair.

And for legality, Superman and Batman. They know each other almost too well, don't they?

We still can't tag, right? suggestions:

char: batman/bruce wayne, char: robin/red robin/tim drake, char: spoiler/robin/batgirl/steph brown, char: superman/kal-el/clark kent, creator: dexter vines, creator: ed mcguinness, creator: jeph loeb, medium: fanart, title: superman/batman

Legality distracted me from actual point of post

Really, Bruce is just the type of person that even if he doesn't think he can take them, will attempt to anyway.

And sometimes he even attempts to defeat them with his intelligence, which usually leads to awesomeness.

Odd that my first thought is a counterexample, but one of my very favorite Batman moments was in JLA/Avengers where he met Captain America, they spent a few panels sizing each other up, adjusting their stances, and then Batman said "All right, Avenger, you could probably beat me, though it would take you a long time. The question is, do you want to?"

Because Batman is, first and foremost, not stupid.

I think sailorlibra's referring to villains.

He thought Cap was a villain, when your first exposure to the Marvel Universe is Frank Castle and an anti-mutant mob you are inclined to think all of it's "heroes" are going to be just as bad.

The better part though was when the Avengers thought the JLA were evil tyrants because there were museums about them and people didn't hate them.

Honestly, someone with superspeed and a ranged energy attack could likely take them out in the time it takes to have that conversation with Bruce.

The way Steph's holding the batarangs implies some interesting combat applications. I like. Though it is funny how her skirt seems cut a little higher to show more butt.

Tim's face looks a little weird, but otherwise these are pretty cool drawings!
