Last Kiss / The Obsidian Age - JLA: #74

Tying into the jelly_ace's posting, here is the last kiss before the long goodnight.

I loved this scene as comrades-in-arms and people who genuinely care for each other have their last moment, and I loved Tezumak's design.

This Obsidian Age rescue mission for Aquaman, another Leaguer trapped in the distant past (and I commented on this before) makes me ask.

Is DC holding this as canon?
If so, then we have 2 active Bruce Wayne's in the past? One dead, one alive?

Could Manitou Raven's spell that binds the life-force of the dead Justice League to Atlantis be affecting the Omega Sanctioned Bruce Wayne?

Poor Plastic Man. Did no one notice he was missing?

Taking the Slow Path would have sucked even if he hadn't been broken into a bajillion pieces for it...

They did, the next issue after Obsidian Age ended.

*Audience track* "Wooooooo!" Just imagine that at the kissing scene.

I collect any image I find of the Big Three kissing. Whether it's Clark and Lois, Bruce and Selina, or Diana and ... uh, give me a minute ... Anyway, this image didn't cut it, because that's some doppelganger from around the multiverse who never washes her flat, greasy hair.

Since when does Bruce love magic? That's another parallel impostor.

I get it! Skrulls are trying to take over infinity!

It's a purposeful subversion since he gets to use Magic to save the Earth this time :)

I think he declared his hate earlier in the story when the Aztec armored guy showed up.

I doubt it, there's still a spirit to draw on, and there was some temporal re-writing involved.

I assume it's canon but unlikely to affect anything unless the League of Ancients is revisited.

Given this story was published a few years ago -- and in comic terms, that's like an entire geological age ago -- I'd say they're not going to draw any connection between Bruce hanging out in the past, and Darkseid hitting him with his Omega Beams.

Nifty idea, but I can't see that happening.

I wouldn't be shocked--Morrison's pulled out a LOT of stuff in the past.

yes, sometimes from 50 years in the past...

I also like his design but it must have been a pain in the ass to draw.
