Dr Mid-Nite is a pretty cool guy. I mean, he has a cool costume with goggles and little crescent moons and he battles evil with the power of medicine. Unlike many others, he actually IS a Doctor. But his origin... well, let's say Hourman is being a dick here, but I think most people here would mock it, too.

And that is how some evil guy in a super-anthrax lab was defeated by Hootie the Owl.

Five years after Endor and the death of the Emperor, the Empire was in bad shape. There had been successors who had ruled the Empire, or tried to. Pestage, the Tribune, Ysanne Isard. "I am Grand Admiral Thrawn. I have been away, but now I have returned. I know some of what has occurred. You will fill in the details of the rest when I come aboard. Rejoice, Captain, for the Empire will rise again." - A Grand Admiral Returns

Next up is Dark Force Rising.

Twenty three pages from six issues. I tried this time to limit the ranting. Sort of.

In each issue of the DC scifi anthology "timewarp" Mike W Barr and Tom Sutton would tell these odd stories involving a female character with blond hair who had a fondness for red clothing. They really put her through the sexual/adventure paces. She was never supposed to be the same character, but the always relied on the same formula.
