I was thinking of fulfilling benicio127's request for more scans of Dick as Batman from PRODIGAL, but as I only bought the Two-Face-centric issues for my last post, there wasn't much that seemed worth posting.

For the most part, it's just Dick!Bat doing typical Batman vs. criminals stuff with little in the way of characterization to distinguish him from Bruce. He reads more like a young, less angry Bruce than Dick Grayson. I'd hoped to find the first issue with Croc for any notable moments, but I've lost the issue somewhere in my collection.

That said, I did find two which I hope will suffice for now. The first is from SHADOW OF THE BAT #33, while the other is the storyline's conclusion in ROBIN #13, wherein family matters are hashes out.

Pointy shoulders and family angst behind the cut! )

I've always loved this pairing since I saw them flirt on Batman: The Animated Series.

I know it gets hate here on S_D, but whatever! I don't care, I still love them. So do a lot of other people, just seems it's not the S_Ders cup of tea, I guess. Sad, because they're wonderful. <3

These are two scenes from two different books. One's from the Batman: False Faces tpb, which I'd recommend picking up if you're interested in exploring the several different sides of Batman's persona: Batman, Bruce Wayne and Matches Malone.

The next is from Gotham Knights 36, which I found when I was going through and looking for the scenes of Dick's adoption. It once again brings up how Babs questions whether what they're doing is right and of course, the idea is there that she questions why the Joker is still living. (She doesn't specifically say it in these scans, but she has questioned it on numerous occasions).

Title: Excalibur #62 - "Of Birth, Death, and the Confused, Painful Bit In Between" (1993, Marvel, 22 pages)
Creators: Alan Davis (writing and art)
Availability: Out of Print (at least until Excalibur Visionaries: Alan Davis v.3 hits)

In the course of investigating strange happenings at St. Oswald's church, Nightcrawler, Shadowcat, and Cerise are ambushed by a group of strange individuals calling themselves the Seraphim. Rather than actually get beaten down, Kurt plays 'possum and allows himself to be taken to the Seraphim's base.

And thus the stage is set for a Nightcrawler Crowning Moment of Awesome. )
