"She is, without a doubt, one of my absolute favorite Marvel characters to write. I would totally write 20 pages of just Maria Hill being a smart ass to various super heroes, month in and month out. I have pitched it numerous times." -- Nick Spencer

I wish I had more time to make a post which best illustrates just why Mega Man is a great comic book to get into, and hopefully this post will at least serve as an impetus for that. If nothing else, I included what tags I could to make looking for previous posts easier.

But the main thing is to spread word that ComiXology is having a line-wide sale on Archie comics, of which Mega Man is one, and between the 50% discount and the already-low price of $1.99 USD per issue, you can basically get the entire run for $55. Less, if you decide to trim the Sonic crossover stuff out (incidentally, the Sonic stuff is on sale, too, and worth reading).

The trades have stalled following the hiatus, leaving that option for reading the series in doubt, so that makes this the best way to get caught up. And hey, maybe buying these will show enough support that Archie decides to take the book off "hiatus."

You can find further details here.

Do note that the single issues are the better value over the trades which are available, unless you really like variant covers (which can be found online anyway) and bonus content.

The LEGO Batman Movie is only a couple of weeks away, and so a couple of the newer trailers seems apt

And since this is me, a couple of them focus on their take on the Boy Wonder.

"Much as I did with CAPTAIN AMERICA: MAN OUT OF TIME, I wanted to pick a moment in Avengers history that had been kind of glossed over and go into greater depth. The story of the Avengers drafting three known criminals into their ranks is more timely now than it was back then, even, as reporters in our story worry that Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are foreign terrorists!" -- Mark Waid

People become known by the works they do.

They become symbols of them. What exactly those symbols represent depends on who's regarding them.

X the vigilante, for every criminal in the city of Arcadia, is judgement.

He's a warning if he marks you once. He's your death if he marks you twice.

Issue #9 of his recent series, written by Duane Swierczynski and drawn by Eric Nguyen, focused on someone who understood X as judge, jury, and executor of Arcadia's bad.

It focused on someone who understood him as that, someone who wanted to pass through his one-man court.

It opened on why that someone wanted that.

It opened at night. )
