Last Page from Incredible Hulk #611
You know... despite all the crap to get here, and the fact that this was basically, begining to end, a big ass fight issue, it touched on points the writer has been drawing on from the very begining. For those of you Curious about how this story ends, click the cut.
So the Hulk and Skaar begin duke it out, remember Bruce was training his son to take out a "Monster" the Hulk, not just any Hulk, the World Breaker/Green Scar Hulk. He was also training him to be a hero. Because this Hulk would not care about anything except his rage and his loss. In the end However, Skaar is so focused on the Hulk, he doesn't notice some innocents that will be crushed by a parking structure he tossed Red She Hulk into. However, Hulk does. And he pauses in the fight to save the innocents. Skaar is shocked that HE didn't notice, but not only did the HULK notice, he saved them.
Thats when Skaar realizes that Bruce doesn't know the Hulk at all. (at his core, the Hulk is a good person) so Skaar stops fighting (though the Hulk continues to pound on him (like his father) when he comes to this realization (that he is repeating h is father's actions and that the HULK is not the monster, but the Ghost of his father that he carries in his heart) Tells Banner that Bruce and the Hulk need to work it out because he gives up. he changes back into Bruce, as Skaar changes back into his human form. they both stare at each other in shock, both unsure what to do now.
Then Betty (who in my opinion has the best line of the book) says:
"Tch. This is the part where you hug him." After a moments hesitation, it's Skaar who runs into his father's arms, and this is the scene we have on the final page:
Question though.... When did Betty get control of the Red She Hulk (true she was always between Hulk and She Hulk, but more She Hulk in my opinion, just REALLY pissed.) but basically when did she start NOT trying to kill Hulk?
Other than that, I like Guy Gardner-ish Red She Hulk. (you know, really pissed off but, not evil) just wondering when the heel face turn (i think i have this right) occured... (or is face heel turn?)
