Everyone seems to have covered the Dc side of things, so I'll go for Marvel.
1) Icarus - Jay Guthrie -- So much potential and then killed off in a dumb way.
2) Skin - Angelo Espinosa -- Killed off with a mass of other cannon fodder by a writer who couldn't even get his name right.
3) Synch - Everett Thomas -- So many stories that could be told. Then they bring in Prodigy as basically a copycat.
And of course:
4) Nightcrawler -- 'Nuff said.
