Then Boston gets shot and has a sort of "This is your Life Boston Brand" type of moment and says that he doesn't want to die he wants to live so the ring goes back to him.
xDDD RIGHT? I mean come on Dawn, I get that she may have just thought that he could have died, and was happy he was alive and that could be why but she doesn't really seem like the type of person who would be all Lets kiss after the few days she's known him, she seems the type who would keep on a level head about it and want to actually get to know the person.
It's not like they've had deep in depth conversations about anything but being brought back to life and who the white lantern should be.
I guess we're supposed to assume they've gotten close to each other off-panel... or something. DISAPPOINT... maybe she was just relieved to be away from Hank's paternalistic butt for a few days? :)
xD Yeah I guess. It just really feels rushed. One of them will probably end up being like "That shouldn't have happened" in the next issue or something though, I bet. But to be fair Boston is super hot and I'd so make out with him too...
Oh yeah, it does, but I have that complaint with 95% of comic pairs these days. Er, wait, it's not just in this medium, but in most literature -- it's that compulsory love thing. They are a good looking man and a good looking woman on a mission together, just the two of them -- of COURSE it ends in kissy times!!! Or flirting, at the least. It has to be. If there is none they must be totally asexual.
And yeah...I'd make out with Dove. I mean, he's been dead for how long? I don't know the last time he's even gotten to make out with someone.
That's true, I wonder what a book would be like without any of that. Hm... I think that's why I really like when it's like a family team up (well the ones who don't flirt with each other), or like... Dick and Donna. I like when there isn't any of the flirty sexual type of stuff it makes things unique and fun I think. *nods*
Actually if I remember he had a ghost girlfriend once, or something like that, I don't really remember what was going on there, but Boston has always been a ladies man. *nods*

The last bit from the end of Speed comes to mind...

You're apsolutely right. The man doesn't even have to be that good looking sometimes.
