I have a real problem with artists like Alex Maleev and Greg Land using photo reference, as it makes the characters look stiff and lifeless. Personally, it doesn't bother me in this particular case, and I credit that to Terry Austin's inks.

That said, every time I read a Batman comic drawn by Gulacy, I spot panels that are direct lifts from shots in Tim Burton's Batman films (look at Batman's close-up in the last page). In Terror, there's also a near-exact lift of Catwoman in that scene with the mugger.
