How do we get more variety here?
I have no idea...more members?

It just seems like we're always looking at the same titles and characters over and over and over and over....

I seem to remember S_D#1 being more varied and full of surprises....

We were much bigger back on LJ. We had a lot more people coming and going.

Here, not so much. :(

What kind of variety would you like to see?

Personally, I'd love more non-superhero comics. More classic adaptations, more classic horror and humor titles, war titles, hell, even some of the old romance titles (a lot of it's not very good, but some of it's fantastically cracky, and you know how we all love that), more non-fiction stories, more indy works, more lesser-known manga, more bandes dessines, more foreign titles in general...

At the point when it was TOSed, Scans_Daily had a wide selection of stuff like that, and more--if you were so inclined, you could come poke around in the comm with a reasonable expectation of finding something new. Some of it has made its way over here, but to my mind, since the move, we've sort of regressed back to where s_d was years ago: intensely focused on a handful of popular superhero titles from DC and Marvel, to the exclusion of the wider world of comics and graphic novels. I think that's a shame.
