I think important to note in all this is the second half of the sentence, which has largely been forgotten. The reason behind "calming down" was not a belittling of your sentiments, but a joke that it was all going to be retconned anyway. In other words, the poster was making an attempt to comment on DC Comics, not you, or whether your problems with the issue were legitimate. Clearly things would have gone better if they had posted "Don't worry" instead of "calm down" but I think the intention was the same. My two cents.
