"Wait, WHAT!?" Part 10.

Yes, after pretty much a year away, I return! I skipped Parts 5-9. I'll get around to them eventually, I swear! It's really hard to cut down on stories that are pretty much ONLY about Renee, so I'll need help doing Half A Life, Corrigan, Crime Bible, and Revelations. I have 52 ready, but I'm not sure if I can post so much of one character's story (because by keeping in the 7 or less rule, I can post pretty much all of Renee's 52 story.)

Anyways, this is Final Crisis! Her role was minor, but interesting. This is Renee's first role AFTER the Crime Bible fiasco (52 and Crime Bible), and also the first (?) time in a while she's being written by NOT Greg Rucka! (This is Grant M BTW)
He used her as a throwback to the faceless GPA agents form the original OMAC comics! She has an important mission!

From Final Crisis #3, previously, Renee had been leaving clues for Danny Turpin

From Final Crisis #4, the recruitment begins!

From Final Crisis #5, The Tour of your new workplace!

From Final Crisis #6, The Voyage!

From Final Crisis #7, The Mission!

So, that's that! Renee ended up being a vital part of Final Crisis. Who woulda thunk!?
Anyways, I understand Rucka had a set goal for Renee, but I kinda wish she could've continued as a GPA. Though, I am glad that Renee is still "street-level"
Anyways, on another related note, this weekend, I have $30 Borders Gift card and I'm going to one of the closing stores. I'm in the mood for some really good comics, straight up classics. So, any suggestions as to what I should get!?

Man, Poor Megan, she looks really haggard.

Of course, I suppose mentally wrestling with Anti-life will do that to ya.

did they ever name all the Supermen of the Multiverse. I mean there's an obvious Sentry right there.

Actually at least the group there was, sorta.

I believe another issue of the Superman Beyond had the Monitor who grabbed Superman randomly list off Supers that match to these folks.

Saying things like Shazam, Majestic, Prime and Icon.

"Prime?" Do you mean as in "short for Emowhinyboy-Prime" or as in the freakin' Ultraverse character? Does that mean that Morrison and the DCU actually remember one of the few halfway decent comics from the 90's post-Image glut better than the company that CURRENTLY OWNS THE CHARACTER..?

I officially tip my hat to Mr. Morrison and "Final Crisis" if that is indeed the case. Again, actually, considering he also resurrected the Zoo Crew in this story.

Do you have the new Rucka Question TP, 'The Conduit?' Pretty good.

Thanks for the scans, too!

D'oh!

Never mind, I has the dumb. Same thing. *lol*

*thinks*

Have you read Rucka's Whiteout graphic novels? They're pretty good. I also like the Queen & Country Graphic Novels & books.

I liked the idea that the Lord Eye was Max Lord's brain, re-purposed for Checkmate use. Too bad that went out the window.

Whew. For a moment I feared you were going to post some of the Rucka FC mini, whose name escapes me for the moment, which is great as it means my attempts to block it out have succeeded. Which was so at odds with the rest--a very Christian, and particularly, Catholic story in the midst of a New Gods story seems a little...well, I mean, I'm not a believer, but it seems that when you bring in the Almighty, the idea of Darkseid being more powerful seems silly.

And he totally dropped a potentially interesting ball on the Cain/Savage thing.

likewise, I'm an agnostic Jew, and I enjoyed that story. Not my favourite of the Renée stories, but it was still interesting.

As he explained(kind of) in superman beyond, Overman is no real nazi but comes from a world where the nazis won the second world war and...well, let's say there is no real point in calling anyone a nazi anymore. Anyway, he wasn't part of the war but is trying to protect the world he was born into. I think there is a difference.

When exactly does this take place in regards to Revelation? Because in that book she mentions having already been to Checkmate, but in the actually sequence of events here, there doesn't seem to be any time for a jaunt back to Gotham to hang with Cris and Helena.
