O Captain! Our Captain! - Wild is the Wind

Considering that this will be the week when the Captain America's film will be released, I suggest everybody posts some cool moments with our beloved Captain America (Feel free to use any versions of the Sentinel of Liberty) as a way to celebrate. May all of us have some fun!!!

I shall start by providing one of the most badass moments I have seen from Captain Bucky-merica.

Don't mess with Captain Bucky-merica. 'Nuff Said!

Bucky should have gotten a longer run. He's like Jason Todd, when used wrong, a horrible joke about death in the comicsverse but when used right...characters like them can be magic.

Considering Captain America and Bucky launches after Fear Itself, I don't think he's as dead as he looks.

Bringing Bucky back from the dead seemed like the dumbest, laziest thing ever but Brubaker made it work like hell. The whole Bucky as Cap storyline is what got me back into the character (and made me appreciate characters I had previously dismissed like Black Widow, Falcon and even Sharon). I really hope they haven't killed him off again. Like Steve he's a character that makes everyone around him better.

I also liked how they flipped it between Rogers and Barnes. Steve's weakness was of the body while Bucky's was of the mind/soul.

Forever living in the shadow of his mentor, attempting to make amends for a less than stellar past, and with no super powers, while I've enjoyed and continue to enjoy Steve Rogers as Cap, Bucky is my Captain.

I don't get why Marvel and DC ended Buckymerica and Batdick so fast, considering both were well-done and popular. Ride it out a bit more, I say.

My favourite Marvel character of the last ten years. And I certainly never expected to say that about Bucky frickin' Barnes.

Brubaker gave us a masterclass in how characters should be resurrected, and then showed us how a mantle like Captain America can be handed to a new character and made to work.

And of all the Bucky stuff that's been published, my absolute favourite is Winter Kills, particularly the scene with Bucky and Namor at Toro's grave.

O CAPTAIN! my Captain! our fearful trip is done;
The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won;
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring:
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills;
For you bouquets and ribbon’d wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding;
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head;
It is some dream that on the deck,
You’ve fallen cold and dead.

My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still;
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will;
The ship is anchor’d safe and sound, its voyage closed and done;
From fearful trip, the victor ship, comes in with object won;
Exult, O shores, and ring, O bells!
But I, with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

Honestly even if he is dead I doubt he's staying dead long, he's become too popular.

I can name a few reasons why Bucky should not really be dead, but I'll just quote myself and my roommate at the time we discussed his death:

What? As reasonable as I can be, I'm still a teenage girl.
