Well it actually says "The Humans you knew as your parents".

Seems like an OK thing to say though I guess sort of awkward to not just straight up say they were his parents, I don't think Tornado's trying to stress they weren't his actual parents. (Though it did bug me it was never made clear what the deal was with Seth and his parents. Was their ever an actual human Seth? Etc...)
