Far be it from me to tell anyone how to grieve, and Bruce was certainly scarred by seeing his parents gunned down right in front of him. If he chooses to react to it by becoming Batman and fighting crime, all the better, but it still doesn't give him license to be a jerk. There are trade-offs in society all the time, and he has the right to grieve, certainly, but not the right to treat people shabbily because of it.

He doesn't have the right to treat people DOING THE SAME THING shabbily because of it. Batman's utter contempt for the rest of the Justice League bugs me, especially since DC can't give a good reason for it. Any attempt makes Batman look absurdly petty. Even things like "The Titans are distracting Dick and Tim from THE MISSION" are petty.

Date: 2015-02-17 12:05 am (UTC)Batman comes off too often as petty, small-minded and a jerk. That's not the Bruce I grew up admiring.
I despise when people act like they're better than everyone else. Why be part of the Justice League if they're so beneath you, Bruce?
