I miss the real Owen Reece instead of this plot device. I also have always hated Doom so any story where he's a major player tends to annoy me so I will be so glad when this mess ends and we can see how much of a non reboot the reboot turns out to be.
I'm not normally as bothered by Hickman's writing as a lot of other people, but this issue was so talky, and so full of info-dump. I can't believe how much of this issue was two people playing, "As you know, Bob."
Also, I think I'm still confused, but A) I wasn't reading Avengers or New Avengers before this, and B) I'm frequently confused anyway.
The molecule men bomb is pretty clever... Kinda wished Hickman put that in New Avengers as a climax so you wouldn't need this recap. Robbed all power of that scene since it doesn't matter anymore.
Every time I see "The" Beyonder and stories say he was "A" Beyonder (or a Child Beyonder) it makes me feel like Marvel is giving the Middle Finger to Jim Shooter. Whether he deserves it or not is up to interpretation.
Why oh why has not one of the 616 characters/stowaways once mentioned that this whole "Everyone is trapped on a bizarre place called Battleworld, ruled over by Doom" has happened before? You'd think it would improve morale to know he's been beaten at this game once already.
Something I found interesting is Valeria's revelation that while everything and everyone else on Battleworld is composed of/radiates Doom's signature energy, Strange did not. That implies that at least some higher dimensions and entities that empower his spells were not wiped out by the Beyonders. Otherwise, he'd be limited to tapping into an ambient mystical energy field that's as much a part of the world as anything else Doom saved/made.
If things like the Vishanti still exist, it might offer a clue to how a normal universe is going to be restored when Secret Wars is over.

Strange, whose job -- as Sorcerer Supreme -- is "protect the universe"?

Either way, this issue was dull. A good chunk of the issue was dedicated to recapping the final issues of New Avengers.

The pic you have outside the cut is too big. The rules limit those to 400x300.
