In which the Nazis attempt to outdo Nostradamus in the golem department.

From the June 1943 issue of Hillman Periodicals' Clue. Public domain scans from ComicBookPlus.com.

(Side historical tidbit: Note the assuring message for parents on the cover. Parental concern over comic books was already a thing, although it wouldn't become a genuine threat to the industry until Wertham got involved.)

Next: the battle's outcome, and more dastardly behaviour from the Crane.

OK, you need to make allowances for advancing state of the art in all science, especially paleontology - I'm not going to complain about the upright stance, the bendy tail, or the pronated hands.

But, it's been known since 1914 that T. rex had tiny, two-fingered hands - in the same way, we know, now, that they were feathered...while we didn't have direct evidence (until 1989), comparison to related species gave us a good idea what their arms were like.

And even allowing for 'well, we don't know', they didn't bloody well have thumbs!

To be fair, the Nazis -were- all about re-writing archaeology and anthropology to suit their whims...

If I had to choose between archaeological accuracy and actually having a slightly useful pair of manipulator arms on my giant Nazi robot dinosaur, i could see why the latter might take precedence over the former.

Getting riled up over your late mother grants you expert fighting skills? That explains a lot about Batman.

OK, I just noticed...

'We dig for steel.' Someone doesn't know that steel is an alloy, huh?
