I figured some of you might be interested to know that Comixology currently has a 50% off sale (99 cents per issue) for the entire series of Runaways. Related miniseries aren't included.

On a related note is Vol. 3 worth checking out? I've heard mixed things.

Finally, here's Molly taking out the trash.

Runaways v3 by Terry Moore is a terrible comics, especially the first arc. The second one is better, but ends with a very old and predictable cliché.
Also, it's one of Ramos's worst works.

I'm not sure about Runaways by Immonen, except that Pichelli's art looked quite good. (At this point, Moore had killed my interest.)
I heard it was inconclusive.

There are two stand-alone stories between Moore and Immnonen's runs.
One is quite fun, has good interaction between the characters and awesome Emma Rios art.
The other one is a huge waste of opportunity, as Molly visits the X-Men. Barely any interaction between X-kids and Runaways. Instead we got another "Sniktbub befriends a teenage girl" story. Also Molly's flanderization is at its worst.

Everything beyond Vaughan is mostly terrible. Whedon botches nearly everything, and has a clear dislike of the Punisher to the point it's clear he doesn't get the character at all, to say nothing of the uneasiness of his treatment of a genderfluid character like Xavin. Moore is terrible, there's a fun couple of fill-in stories, and Immonen's run was snuffed behind the barn before it got a chance to go anywhere, which was incredibly disappointing, as it was the only time I thought the book had real potential beyond Vaughan.

Marvel recently recollected the series in some complete collections.

Unfortunately, not only do they shoehorn in the crossovers with Young Avengers in the MIDDLE of Vaughan's run, but the third volume also includes stuff past that run. Which bugs me because all I wanted was a nice two or three collection softcover collection of Vaughan's run.

Satisfying as that scene is, I do have to object -- when panicked and pushing herself, Molly lifts and throws entire semis overhand.

Frank's a normal human that *maybe* wears some low-profile body armor against ballistics.

A full-strength punch should've come out his back or at least pulverised his spine.

I assume she didn't think he was *that* powered!

Part of me still resents that scene with the Punisher, but having seen some of Ennis' shameless jobbing of other superheroes out to the character during his run, I'm now much more inclined to enjoy seeing someone take the piss out of Ennis' favorite Hard Man Who Does Hard Things.

Personally, I love that seen of Molly hitting Frank like that. But my opinions on Castle are... mixed (I actually like him, but basically only when he's shown up against Matt or Peter, and therefore in the wrong).

That said, I think it's sad Marvel's more or less put the Runaways out to pasture as a team.

Marvel obviously still thinks the characters (or at least Nico, Victor, and maybe Chase) have legs... Just not together. Which kind of defeats their whole family dynamic.

Looks like a lot of people are down on the back-in-time arc, but I enjoyed it and the little nod it gave to modern comics' roots.
