"Vader does so little yet every line is so weighted with meaning. For me writing it, keeping that dignity is a big part of it. I don’t want to lean on thought balloons or narrators. I want to keep us a step away, and asking questions. We have suspicions, but we can’t be sure. Vader will surprise you, basically. He’s a puzzle." -- Kieron Gillen

Sure, you've stopped him from moving.. But it still seems like a poor time to start crowing given he's got the most powerful Force-using mind in the galaxy at his disposal still.. And doesn't need to move to use it.

Having seen a taste of Alan Tudyk's belligerent droid in the "Rogue One" trailers makes me hope XXX and BeeTee survive this series, that they might meet him one day.

Also, Cylo could not be more Tim Curry unless the artist just photoshopped in reaction pictures of Tim Curry in lieu of drawing his face.

If I had Zader at my mercy like this, the first thing I would do is shoot off all his arms, bump it all in a molten slag heap and then dump said slag heap into a star.

Star Wars villain are nothing if not great believers in the power of the demotivating speech, muhahaha, I have you now. The Force is basically The Cliche.

Wow. I mean...really?

The Clone Wars were not THAT long ago. And Cylo would have been alive during that time. Not to mention he must have gotten some familiarity with the Force from his association with Palpatine and Vader.

How do you have the foresight to install a failsafe in Vader's cybernetics without also realizing that unless your failsafe also knocks Vader unconscious, he can still use his Force powers to reduce you to a bloody smear on the deck? And I'm pretty sure that using the Force while unconscious isn't out of the realm of possibility either.

Seems like some premature celebratory monologuing sir. :p

Also a supremely sarcastic slow clap for Mr. Morit there.

"Let's see, I'm fighting Darth Vader. A man with numerous Force powers, including telekinesis. And we are fighting on the hull of a starship. Where the pretty much only thing keeping me from drifting off into the void is the equipment built into my boots. So my plan is to jump upwards into a wide arc, giving Vader plenty of time to react and telekinetically shove me into the gravity well of a nearby planet."

Nice. This is duel to the death, not the zero-gravity ballet! XD

Meanwhile Vader just takes a page from Obi-Wan's book and slices up Morit's boots as the idiot makes his descent, all the while thinking to himself, "Sweet Space Jesus I hope I wasn't this much of a dumbass when I was that age."

I think his theory is that the armour also protects Vader from the crippling, devastating PAIN that he would otherwise be enduring every moment of his being, as opposed to the dull, neverending pain he exists with anyway. Plus his ability to breathe is dependent on his respirator, which would also be shut off.

So Vader is now an asphixiating, multiple amputee with chronic pain.

Without being fully aware of what a Sith Lord can endure (and who WOULD know) I can sort of imagine that Morit still thinks he has a chance, bless his idiotic little heart.

I assure you - as someone who endures dull, neverending pain, with regular spikes of crippling, unbelievable pain, someone with willpower is quite capable of doing whatever they need to get done before giving in to the pain. Using his mind to swat that guy and push the button again would not be difficult for him, as he has been characterized in the past. I know that you know that, but I wanted to speak to it regardless.

Yeah, I bet Vader had a moment there where he went, "Obi-Wan was right... you almost *have* to cut an idiot leaping at you to pieces."

It was at that moment that Vader realized he had truly hit middle age.

"Oh my God I'm becoming Obi-Wan."

He promptly took the Executor out for a joyride to recapture his lost youth.
