Someone should tell North about the Captain America and The Avengers game where Cap did indeed save the moon (and the Earth) from the Red Skull, with the help of the Avengers.

Pity they killed off Poor Monkey Joe in such a horrible fashion. This is so cute.

He was murdered by some loser who got kicked out of the GLA (Great Lakes Avengers) group named Leather Boy. From what i recall the death was particularly nasty because he didn't just kill him, he mangled his poor body.

I'm still so happy that Ryan North is working at Marvel (and Christopher Hastings, too). I feel as if an old friend has gotten a prestigious position in a famous city. I do realize that "prestige" is mostly an advertising illusion, that traditional comics aren't inherently superior or more important than webcomics, and that "early audience" is a far cry from "friend", but still.

It's also fascinating to see how much of a good writer he grew to be after 3000+ strips of his purely textual webcomic experiment. It's a testament to the efficacy of constant practice.

Alright, I'm going out and buying this. The other issues have looked great, but this is spectacular.

She's a mutant right? So Xavier didn't grab her for the School?

No; Marvel has been at pains to establish that she's very specifically and in a legally-binding fashion not a mutant anymore.

The exact words, as shown in a previous issue, are: "Doreen is medically and legally distinct from being a mutant, and I can never take this back."

Apparently her doctor was very precise with his wording.

I'd wager a large portion of it is trying to keep her out of Fox hands, but I've also seen the argument that it was, at least partially, so that they didn't have to try and worry about the Terrigen Cloud with her.
