"I think some characters have been reimagined too many times, and I wanted to do the opposite, bring it all in." -- Paul Cornell

I generally don't like these kinds of meta-stories, they usually feel so... janitoral. But this looks really good! I want to read this.

There arent a lot of writers I would trust with major backstory retcons like this, but Paul Cornell is amongst them. You need a writer who has a compelling idea for the change and enough knowledge of the shared universe to know what will and won't get affected. (Also on that list: Kurt Busiek, Mark Waid, Al Ewing and Jeff Parker.)

Yeah, Cornell does fanservice _right_. Loved his work for IDW & Titan on Doctor Who.

'tis a shame they're relaunching Vampirella again, I was enjoying what I read of Nicola Scott's run (I atopped reading after the first arc).
