That was awesome, and awful at the same time.

... okay... so...

Why did Sue just put his head in a force bubble, and not his whole body? Or pin his arms to his neck as he was giving himself a tracheotomy?

How did Logan get out of Magneto's grasp? Was that a teleporter he'd used? Did they know he has a teleporter? If they did, did they have no way to jam it? Wait, was Logan's "you're too headstrong to take orders" comment about Magneto not powering the anti-teleport widget and instead using his powers to pin him? So it required all of Magneto's focus/power to fuel it, he couldn't do both at once?

Wouldn't Wolverine's healing factor just push out the non-Logan bits of Kitty that were phased into him? I seem to recall her threatening a similar action against Sabretooth at one time, and he pointed out that while she'd lose an arm, and he'd be out for a bit, he'd eventually heal from it.

I think the adamantium covering Wolvie's bones complicates things more for than Sabretooth. If I'm seeing it right, and I acknowledge I might not be since I do need new glasses, she was holding his arm through his skull as well as hers. The adamantium in his arm is fused into and through his skull. His healing factor is holding the injury and invasive material in place. In a longer running series I'm sure it could be healed somehow (although, I'll admit I'm not sure how), but for a one shot that is a pretty incapacitating brain injury to get to the end of the book.

Edit: Sorry, ignore all that. You are completely correct. I got confused by one of the panels. I really must get new glasses.

As I see it, Kitty's severed arm is lodged in Wolverine's brain, which prevents it from healing, but it can't be pushed out because it's also fused with the adamantium of his skull.

Hydra does use personal teleporters at least. Viper and Silver Samurai are notorious for using them as last ditch escapes.

Somehow I find "Wolverine beats everyone" stories to be even more tedious that "Batman beats everyone" stories. At least with Batman there's usually some inventive gadgets and schemes, this just has everyone else be staggeringly incompetent in the face of Wolverine's amped up levels of edginess.

Agreed, maybe the full comic covers this, but there are a bunch of characters that I can't imagine Wolverine being able to beat, even with stupid. Like he can't sneak up on Prof. X, and Xavier could stop him instantly right?

Ignoring all the Omega-level god mutants, there still seem like several marvel characters whose powers trump Wolvi.

Like Rogue, even if his claws trump her invulnerability, wouldn't she start fatally draining him as soon as he stabbed her, absorbing his healing factor to survive the stab?

Or Sinestro, with the same healing factor but more powerful offence.

Or Spiderman who is faster, stronger, more agile, and has better super senses. Though this one feels more like it'd be a draw since Spiderman lacks any means of killing Wolverine.

Or Squirrel Girl, as she is unbeatable. ;)

In the full comic, as well as the arc it's based on, Wolverine has access to a bunch of extra technology and augmentations courtesy of HYDRA technology. This includes short-range teleportation and off-site backup squads.

couldn't have kitty phased in order to keep herself from bleeding out? also, this seems like they are painting kitty from this time period as some one not willing to do what needs to be done. kitty would take out wolverine if it meant saving the lives of all those people. no questions asked and no regrets.
