Dear god. That cover. Has John Romita Jr. even SEEN a child?

That weird suburban murder-y alternate cut of "The Hobbit".

How does Mindy manage to walk upright when her head clearly comprises about 60% of her body weight?

'Say my name'.... Yeah, I'd much rather be watching Breaking Bad, too.

Also, remember when Millar was harping on about how realistic and whatever this series was? Where the fuck was that ideology for that 'ninja training in the mountains' horseshit? Or really anything in this series? I know people moaned about the jetpack in the film version of the first story, but at least that knew it was being tongue in cheek rather than full of shit.

I'd agree if he was being trained by actual mystical ninjas as opposed to a bunch of people ripping him off for cash. I can easily picture some dumb, rich gullible guy throwing his money away on something similar.

Yeah, maybe if the comic established how he got taken in in the first place, that might make it more believable. I realize the joke here is how watching movies has made him gullible or some such, but he oversells the joke, IMHO.

As for realism, hand-waving him murdering someone and then nearly being killed in the streets with a 'good thing I have a cop friend who owed me a favor' goes beyond ridiculous. A rich white kid (and mob-connected) being able to just board a plane right after he gets arrested for murder with witnesses and likely video of him committing the murder? Yeah, the further they go with this premise, the worse it gets. You want to tell a parody story? Sure. Don't pretend this has anything to do with the real world. People dressing in costumes is far from the least believable thing here (never mind the 12 year-old 60 pound girl regularly overpowering full grown men while maintaining the damage resistance of an 80s action hero).

Doesn't Millar always use that excuse to write dark and gritty?
