It's the Megatron equivalent of reciting your affirmations.

One thing the various Transformers comics have gotten right is illustrating how unprepared humanity is to fight the Cybertronians. In the IDW verse, they've needed some very advanced tech to do it.

While I realize it was needed to secure the level of military access and cooperation they got, the newer films make it way too easy for humanity to fight back. Transformers should be like kaiju. The only thing that should be able to stop them is another Transformer or something really advanced.

Agreed.

Heck, even in IDW, the very advanced tech just slowed them down. And that's how it should be.

Yeah. By and large, the handful they've been able to really hurt or kill were already wounded or taken by surprise. And that's been with scavenged Cybertronian tech.

I was okay with the way they did it in the first movie, if only because:
1) They DID study megatron for an unknown period of time and created tehcnology based on it.
2) they still needed a lot of hard work and clever thinking to defeat ONE decepticon.

That's fair, on both points. But it definitely got out of hand by the second and beyond. Even with (as shown in the third) the Autobots training the military to fight Cybertronians, it suspended disbelief and made the Autobots seem superfluous.

Ffs, Sam Witwicky killed Starscream.

Random dude with no training whatsoever kills the Transformer second in command with a freaking grappling hook and glorified stick of dynamite. I facepalmed so hard, my grandkids will ask me why I have a scar on my forehead.

Yeah, that was a pretty terrible end for Starscream. Who, ya know, in the first movie, sent Ironhide and Ratchet into pants-oiling terror just by showing up.

According to Michael Bay, the only thing that can kill a Transformer, is a grenade shot to the taint.
