Weirdly, I've seen the "lethal Pinocchio nose" idea before, most notably in Peter David's "Soulsearchers and Company"

Once you've seen it, it's not something you forget.

I'd like to see the Lethal Jiminy Cricket.

He's not strong or powerful at all. He just sneaks into bad people's beds at night and whisper in their ears. And he knows exactly what to say to get to you. He knows what you're really feeling. He knows where you went wrong. He'll tell you, and and he won't. ever. stop.

Bad people invariably end up killing themselves after meeting Jiminy the Cricket.

I remember this Shrek parody called 'The Shreksorcist', where Shrek is hired to babysit Pinnochio. In the end, Pinnochio turns out not to be possessed, but was being influenced by this mischievous Jiminy Cricket-esque figure telling him to do all the weird things he did.

The Scarecrow has used something similar as an approach, but I like yours too!

It's also the entire basis of this comic: https://www.amazon.com/Pinocchio-Vampire-Slayer-Complete-Jensen/dp/1603093478

He tells a lie and then snaps off his nose as his stake against vampires.

Well, being made of wood he'd be immune to most adversities and many kinds of damage, and it would be especially terrifying if you had a lot of them and….... oh yeah, Fables.

The main takeaway from this...

Pinocchio doesn't like soup.
