Do people in real life conversation use the contraction "there're"?

Yes, there're plenty of people who don't pronounce the ah in that contraction.

I do - but I'm Southern so take that as you will. I also use "y'all" "ain't" and "y'all'd've" upon occasion.

It is true, you cannot find a chicken sitter in Manhattan. Google tells me you have to go all the way to Brooklyn for that service.

Also why can supervillains not just admit to small, every day crimes, which people tend to overlook and just tut at, like "yeah, I shouldn't have taken my chicken and I totally smuggled them through animal control. Oops, naughty of me" instead of throwing people from balconies? I'm a little confused by what her evil plan is, aside from re-enacting the plot of Madagascar that is.

Our villain has an unhealthy obsession with gaining control over animals. Doreen would have been a mean to that end (plan A was a "buy myself into Squirrel Girl's trust, alienate her from her friends, etc." cult routine), as she wont play along thanks to Nancy here, she has to be eliminated (plan B: let's gain the power a different way and use it to frame Squirrel Girl).

-"For when you look at a densely populated urban area and think: "This is fine, but it would be even better if it had venomous spiders stored in it somewhere"-

So, that's how Sparks in the Marvel Universe express themselves!
Mad Urban Planners!

... also, Beer Itself might actually be more wittier than anything actually from Fear Itself, uh... itself.
(Excluding tie-ins. Because they Don't Count.)

So the villain is an evil Dr. Doolittle wannabe? I like it.

Right up until the reveal, I was thinking Edna Mode! ...with a chicken.

(Gotta love the Broadway shout-outs in the last panel, although I'm wondering what that Wiccan/Hulking musical would actually be like now. Is Scarlet Witch Madame Morrible? Who's Nessa?)

If you can't tell whether or not you like it, then you probably don't and won't.

I'm not a fan of the art, but it's nice that the editor let somebody's five year old work on a comic.

That's needlessly harsh, especially since art is subjective.

It's also more than little offensive to call a grown woman a five year old. You can criticize an artist work without making petty insults towards them.

Well, I still can't draw that well.

This is the first arc in this series that I was less than thrilled with. It's not bad or anything but I feel it just ran two or three issues too long.
