Now we begin to see the real Cassidy, who does the sorts of things he conveniently left out of his life story the previous two issues.

Also, Jesse sort-of gets punished and sort-of doesn't for his well-meaning but chauvinistic treatment of Tulip as someone who can't fend for herself. Had Cassidy not been a manipulative jerk just now, Tulip might've either left Jesse a bit longer to think about what he did, talked it over with him, or both. As it is, we'll see later that Jesse still hasn't quite gotten the message.
