Two of a Kind

August marks the 75th anniversary of Two-Face's first appearance (Detective Comics #66). To celebrate I figured I'd post a few Two-Face comics throughout the month.

First up is Bruce Timm's 'Two of a Kind' from Batman: Black and White.

The complete story is free on Comixology so I'm posting it in its entirety here.

One of the most frequently-reprinted Two-Face, Batman: B&W, OR Bruce Timm stories, and for very good reason.

I look forward to seeing which other Harvey stories you post this month. Think I have an inkling or two what those might be, but I won't guess out loud. ^_^

No doubt it's stylishly drawn and told, but the Marilyn/Madeline thing becomes a little sillier every time I reread this. In a comic whose every other pore oozes Dark, Serious Noir, making evil twins a plot point just feels like a neon beacon of the Silver Age.

By the way, did anyone ever confirm this as DCAU canon?

Although in fairness, it's still Dark, Serious Noir set in the BtAS universe.

Those last 2 panels always remind me of an episode of Six Feet Under, "Knock Knock." A medicated but sincere Billy apologizes to Brenda for attacking her, and then asks to be left alone at the mental hospital.

Maybe Jeremy Sisto could cameo as Harvey Dent in the DCEU? If that Batman DCEU movie ever gets made.
