Here we are with #175. It’s hard to believe that a black and white zombie comic that Kirkman had to lie about including aliens to get it made would become the juggernaut it is today.

We'll, it is a Robert Kirkman comic, so I'm sure it will have the happiest of endings without any ridiculous plot twists or betrayals.

Oh boy. Michonne's entire arc in the Telltale games was the guilt of abandoning her children. This makes me want to get back into the series. It's been 70 issues or so since I've stopped though, which makes it daunting...

This could be interesting, but I guess will need to see where this goes.

That moment when the teeny community of like, several hundred survivors discovers where everyone else has been gathering while they were fucking about with their personal dramas...

I hope the Commonwealth turns out to be perfectly normal and safe, just to really fuck with Rick's crew and sense of accomplishment.

I could see the Commonwealth being divided... so Rick can help oust the "evil" faction, leaving the Commonwealth with enough people to help grow the world. I can't see Kirkman being satisfied with "...and to their horror, they realized the new civilization was eeeevil!!1!"

I actually like that Kirkman has chosen to build communities, and I was surprised that two years after quitting in disgust at the demise of Glen, TWD pulled me back in to watch the expanding world.

I think that he's trying to expand the scale of rebuilding the world even further, possibly to end the series on a high note. Zompacalypse stories tend to be only capable of spiraling down to hopelessness and despair, and I think he's been trying to subvert that slightly by pointing out that historically, humankind has always been pretty resilient, adapting to changing conditions and not just surviving, but thriving.
