Is Terrigen sentient? “Sentient” is a big, woolly word. I don’t know if Terrigen can be quantified as having sentience, but I would say it has poetry. Maybe that’s a consequence of it being one of the big, primal elements of a narrative fictional universe. Everything in the Marvel Universe has poetry in at least some small way, everything was created and set in motion by storytellers. -- Al Ewing

Can anyone explain the title?
I've found that Kether and Malkuth are the names of some oldschool mercenary (?) teams (?) that, apparently, only Al remembers, but it didn't help me to grasp the meaning/irony of this issue title...

David Bowie's Station to Station: " Here are we, one magical movement/from Kether to Malkuth "

People read that lyric as " from crown to kingdom ".

(One interpretation discusses it in terms of " As above, so below ", which works with the Kree's creation of the Inhumans being a reflection of the Progenitors' creation of the Kree.)

Oh! I should have googled instead of searching marvel-wiki (but I did find marvel characters by these names!).
Thank you for the explanation ♥

I might be late but: Kether and Malkuth are spheres (Sephirots) on the Cabalistic* "tree of life", Malkuth is the lowest and represents Earth, or the material realm, Kether is the topmost, and the highest glory of God.

So I would understand that sentence as "From the highest heaven to this lowly Earth".

* Cabalah was originally a Hebrew mystical movement. unsurprisingly there is also a bog standard western magical tradition based on it which was very popular in 19th early 20th century England.

Yeah, I now understand, though, to be honest, I consider this title rather bland, you know, kinda generic? Like "war and peace" or "heaven and hell", some overused dichotomy masked with Kabbalistic ambiguity.
From the other hand, Tarot is sometimes considered to have roots in Kabbala and there were Tarot references in the latest issues of the series. From the other other hand, I don't feel that mystical vibes really work in this kind of story. What do you think?

"From beginning to end"!

I'm reasonably sure this story was meant to have more mystical references originally as I definitely read somewhere that Ewing originally wanted the Progenitors to speak entirely in alchemical symbols. It's just got toned down somewhere in development. (Maybe Moore called to tell them it's rude to channel the living.)

Yeah, I've heard that too, but I'm not sure whether it would help. These giant cosmic creator-y threatening things disappointed me a lot. I can see exactly what was the purpose of implementing the Progenitors into the Inhumans story-line but, well, meh. Still, some parts of this series were very good.

Am pretty sure that David Bowie has a lots of less generic lyrics!

Okay, seriously what the Hell is up with mounting the heads of sonic characters on the chests of robots.

First there was that thing from a few years back with attacking Black Canary's head to the chest of that robo zombie, and now we have this nonsense.

The Inhuman Royal Family went into space, looking for the origins of terragenesis, so they could recreate their own supply (because apparently Randac never took any notes).
Examining the sky-spears (remember them?), they determined where the things came from, and who made them: The Progenitors, the ludicrously advanced alien beings who created the Kree.
As it turns out, the Progenitors are berks, who don't like people touching their stuff, so when the Inhumans take a sample, the Progenitors attack them. In order to make sure everyone gets away, Gorgon sacrifices himself taking out one of their farming moons, which gets their interest.
The Inhumans get back to Earth, the Progenitors follow them and attack, devastating Earth in the process. While there, they take Black Bolt and Medusa, because turning the successful results of their experiments into more Progenitors is how they reproduce.
Maximus survives, and lives to a fantastically old age thanks to touching some primagen, but he knows sooner or later the Progenitors will come back to finish the job. The only way to stop this is to pass a message along to his past self. So he gets Noh-Varr and what was once Flint to distract the Progenitors, while he grabs a sliver of Primagen.
Using that, he's able to commune with Maximus in the here and now as he touches a sample of Primagen, giving the Inhumans knowledge of what's about to happen, and the hope they can prevent it happening again.

All very simple, no?

oy.... I hate parallel future stories... for me it only works in film.... (it doesn't help that the author likes using elevated speech).
