Once the war is over I have no idea what they are going to do about this have crazy, traumatixed gods running around.

But damn am I glad to finally see nukes. One of the only things I really rubbed me the wrong way about Uber is how the Manhattan project was handled.

Dollars to donuts they will be "decommissioned" in some horrible fashion.

Like inviting all the US super-humans to vacation on Bikini Atoll and then perform some testing. That's how they got rid of surplus warships...

This one really irritated me on a number of fronts. Like, why the absurdly contrived moral test for the heavy cruisers? The Japanese Battleship is like 8 feet tall, he can't actually blend in with his countrymen, just have the camp guards evacuate the camp and THEN demo it. No mass slaughter, and no risk of alienating the heavy cruisers.

On top of that, like three pages earlier you see the cruisers witnessing the aftermath of Yamato having leveled San Francisco, so it is actually hard to argue that they have the moral high ground when they are effectively saying they refuse to inflict a few hundred civilian casualties to kill an enemy who is killing tens of thousands of civilians daily.

And this whole issue is like that. I don't want to get too much into what happens in off-scan, but there are several plot lines that see obvious realities ignored for the sake of conflict.

I have generally been a fan of Invasion so far, but this issue seemed like a return to some of the worst contriving the plot to achieve the theme from the original Uber.
