But then Clark showed up as a spectrum rather than a mixture in BN: Superman. Could it be that White is itself a different emotion?

Clark only had 5. there was no indigo or greed in him.

Yes, but Superman is, emotionally speaking, relatively normal, akin to most humans. Dove isn't, as she's essentially an Avatar of a Lord of Order in human form.

The same Lords of Order who have been depicted as greedy, obsessive and afraid of change? :P

To be fair, that's a comparatively recent retcon. Originally, Order = Good and Chaos = Evil.

Then somebody realized that, logically, that would make Darkseid a good guy, so yeah.

The concept of Order=Good and Chaos=Evil is one of those fun things that doesn't make a lot of sense the more you look at it. In the horribly long series from Michael Moorcock with Corum (of the Silver Hand) it ends with both sets of gods, both Order and Chaos, dead as they were both evil in their ways.

A bit zen, but there you go.

And if you bring something like chaos theory into it, the whole thing is revealed as bullshit, as it's not a question of order vs. chaos, it's simple vs. complex structure.

For instance, you can view a slime mold, or distributed computing, or any number of things as chaotic, sure, but they're actually just very, very complex, constantly changing structures.

he was only five of the seven. I bet we'll get a bumch of heroes go all zen, they'll light up the BL's emotion vision then flow together to white.

Even so, I would imagine if White Lanterning is all about the blend of emotions, it should have mixed what colors he had instead of keeping them separate.

Either way, does this mean we can get Richard Dragon: White Lantern please?

Clark's emotions were conflicted. He was each of those emotions separately, while Dove is all emotions together, harmoniously. Maybe.

I dunno, all of his emotions, varied as they were, seemed pretty focused on one singular task at that moment.

But he was not at peace. Superman is no way like a zen Jedi.

Right. They were not in balance as described above, and he's very much feeling them; they do not "pass through him."
