I feel like you're using words, but they're in the wrong order somehow.
No... wait... you're serious.
What the fuck, man. What the fuck.

This brings back memories of when Kevin Smith was *huge* in geekdom. He was basically Joss Whedon. Wizard Magazine would fellate him nonstop.

Now he's just doing weird stuff like films about Nazis made out bratwurst or mad doctors turning people into walruses.

Weird choice for a wordless sequence. I can't decide if it's incredibly lazy or a hilarious flex for a famous writer to come onto a book and immediately open things by making the artist do virtually all the work like this.

Also, man, I just cannot imagine being the target audience for this book. The joke with Hit-Girl got old really quickly, and keeping her around as the one element of these comics which is more or less played straight is so weird, especially with the decision to make her a standalone character.

I'm just surprise the Kick-Ass franchise is still going given how the original premise has long gone out the window. It'd make more sense imo for Millar to just do a new property.

It's weird, right? I mean, Hit Girl was a one-note gag that kind of violated the original stated intent of the original comic (I mean, any attempt at realism fails when you have a slight middle-schooler beheading people with a single-handed sword strike...which in a comic that is supposed to be about people pretending to superheroes in the 'real world' is kind of a fail).

I get that Hit Girl is the kind of gag that goes over well with a certain demographic, but I didn't think we'd still be here a decade later with two movies behind it and still going? Kind of a surprise, yeah.
