Oh, yeah, if you’re not into Avengers then it should be totally skippable (technically all comics are). Other than the Avengers having apparently stolen the Phoenix (or the X-men books may have dropped it and the Avengers took it in) and maybe a few books or a few characters that appear to be divorced from the current Status Quo of X nothing here seems to be X-men related
Unless others have seen an interview I haven’t there’s no information available as to what this crossover is trying to do on any level other than portraying an alternate reality, which is the sort of thing I just love
I suspect it all tied into an episode of the Avengers Assemble cartoon in which one of the squadron used the reality stone to make the world in their image which, par for the course in recent Marvel cartoons, didn’t have anything more to say then “wouldn’t this be cool to watch”
EDIT: on a slightly deeper level, I suspect this event is more about keeping the copy-write on the titles “Heroes Reborn,” but that doesn’t keep me from wanting to read this
