It's only 6 months after the game was released, but I was still excited to read the first issue of Spider-man: City at war.

PRESS START ON A BRAND-NEW MARVEL UNIVERSE! Showered with worldwide acclaim, the blockbuster Marvel’s Spider-Man has everyone’s spider-sense buzzing! Now you can experience the emotional and shock-filled story that takes favorite characters (including Mary Jane, Aunt May, Norman Osborn, Otto Octavius and Miles Morales) and spins them into an all-new and unexpected web of drama, spectacle, and classic Spidey action in the Mighty Marvel Manner… with more original stories to come! After years of seeing Wilson Fisk escape criminal prosecution, the wise-cracking web-slinger finally has the opportunity to team with the PDNY to help them arrest his fearsome foe. But when the Kingpin of Crime is removed from the mean streets of the Big Apple, how will the mysterious Mister Negative’s ascent to power bring Peter Parker’s civilian world and Spider-Man’s superhuman worlds crashing together? Plus: All-new story moments never seen in the game and bonus behind-the-scenes content!

Now, the PS4 game is close to the most fun you can have with a PS4.=
The story is good fun, the world is big and real, and you do feel Spider-man-ish. It's got a good status quo where MJ is an investigative reporter, JJJ is a radio shock jock, Peter is established as spider-man and evicted from his apartment, and Spidey works alongside a police detective to fight some Fisky crime.
I toured the High Line, took a selfie in a hostage situation, webbed a thug to a car and then watched the car race away with him through traffic, webbed up a bunch of criminals from the rafters like I was a going to eat them, swung around in my scants and listened to J. Jonah Jameson learn about shipping wars.

So here's a special Christmas treat... this was a comic included for free in the Dallas Times Herald back in 1983 (alongside some Spidey-themed ads for local businesses). I haven't been able to find the full thing but I've managed to cobble together most of it from different websites.
