Believe it or not, there was a time when the Archie daily newspaper strip was actually funny. For instance, there was the storyline in which the title character became principal of Riverdale High for a day.

Yes, you read that right. In 1971, Archie Comics took a rare foray into current events and an even rarer stance on political issues with "Summer Prayer for Peace," which sees Archie, Jughead and Reggie inducted into the army, then debating the morality of draft dodging with a radical friend.

So a few weeks ago I posted a trailer, and some other stuff, for the upcoming teen drama Riverdale, which is the CW's take on Archie and his pals. It did a good job of showing tone, but didn't really give any plot.

Well, now they've released a new trailer with about an atom-sized bit of plot, as well as a cameo from their version of Jughead.
