So of all people, Sun Wukong the Monkey King is Marvel's newest hero.

He's got a one-shot slated for the tail end of Fear Itself, at least, with a mixed reaction.

His initial appearance in Iron Man 2.0's Fear Itself tie-in's just as initially odd, yet he and the other guests've somehow managed to make a fun story of city defense and would be Worthies while stealing most of Rhodey's pagetime.

Heck, this week's #6 gets a third through before everyone's favorite War Machine says a word, and it doesn't feel like anything's lost. )

This week, Iron Man 2.0 took Fear Itself in stride.

It managed pre-empting more of Rhodey's cat-and-mouse game with a demonstrably dead man pretty elegantly, timing his lighter-and-leaner Stark-given upgrade so that Sin's Nazis resurged right on its heels.

With that plot set aside, it goes on to set up another Worthy and introduce unfamiliar readers to the this-and-two-more guest-starring Immortal Weapons and their deal without too much fuss.

Heck, it even spends some time introducing a new character who might just be 'Marvel's newest hero', if I'm interpreting the month-after-next's solicit right.. )

In a comment further down the page, [personal profile] halialkers said: "The World War II era was not some era of moral perfection and justice where wars were fought with a purity unrivaled by all other eras."
This has been seen as a problem with Captain America, especially in issues of DAREDEVIL of all places. And an issue of PUNISHER WAR JOURNAL.

Time to shake the hornets' nest! )

Greetings True Believers! I picked up Hercules: Fall of an Avenger and it is a fitting tribute to the Prince of Power. Funny, dopey and sweet like Herc himself. Here a few scans I know S_D is going to love! Let's just say that Snowbird isn't the only member of Alpha Flight with fond memories of the Herc-Machine. Enjoy!
