Sep. 17th, 2016 08:14 pmFor Batman Day, here are some Batman pages. The first group covers some of Bruce Wayne's troubled mind, the second and third deal with his troubled "friendship" with other superheroes.

"Hunger was always the first leg of this event, and I took that opportunity to showcase just how different the Cosmic side of the Marvel Universe is. It’s something that we haven’t seen in a few years, but its been one of my favorites. What Warren Ellis did in the Galactus Trilogy, or the Gah Lak Tus Trilogy, I should say, and what was going on in the Fantastic Four were some of my favorite comics in the Ultimate Universe, so to get to play with them was great. What we’re teeing up is a very, very angry Galactus setting his sights on the planet that has caused him endless suffering in another universe."

Ultimate FF #6: Final Issue (Untitled)
Mar. 22nd, 2015 07:10 pm
“What I love about this Sue that's so different from the Sue of the 616, or almost any version of her, is that she's defined much less by the family around her. She's a formidable character in her own right. I always go back to those first few issues of "Ultimate Fantastic Four," where she's exploring her teammates, getting to know their physiology. She really has an understanding of the consequences of interdimensional travel changing your body and the consequences of the relationships that she's in.
She's gone on this journey and lost so much in way that Sue Storm in the 616 never has. The 616 Sue lost her parents, but she does have a great family that supports her and believes in her. She's a mother and a celebrity. She has all these things that this Sue Storm does not have. The Ultimate Sue was a celebrity for a little bit, but then she became the girl that was dating the sociopath.
I think she's had to come into her own, and Jonathan and Sam did such a great job developing her character in "Ultimates." She's such a great, strong character, I love writing her voice and I love getting to present this character in a leadership role in a book, especially this one, because it really tickles the format.” - Joshua Hale Fialkov

A Quick Peek
Sep. 5th, 2014 09:21 pmSo aside from Miles Morales being Spider-man, does anyone know what's been going on in the Ultimate universe? Captain America's still president I guess? I have absolutely no clue. Let's just take a quick peek at ( what's been going on the past few months... )
Alpha: Big Time #4
Jun. 1st, 2013 05:09 pmAndy "Alpha" Maguire, that kid from the Dan Slott plotline from last year that had everyone rolling their eyes, is currently the star of his own miniseries, written by Joshua Hale Fialkov. Some of the guys at the SA comics forum mentioned that Fialkov was doing a pretty good job redeeming the character, so I checked it out.
What I wasn't expecting was a moment with Thor that struck me as pretty fun.

3 pages from SUPERMAN BATMAN #87
Sep. 30th, 2012 11:53 amThese pages from the last issue of SUPERMAN BATMAN. They cover the idea that some "regular" citizens aren't happy with what Batman "did" to Gotham City.

If you're like me, and have spent the last year hoping to see at least a GLIMPSE of the old Authority in the new Stromwatch (that I'm not dropping only because I, for once in my life, want to be there when a couple I've always been rooting for gets together), I have great news for you! The new I, Vampire delivers Stormwatch team I WANT to read - snarky, violent and having fun. I hope the artistic team behind this book, author and artist, get to do Stormwatch one day.
