Wonder Woman (1987) #5

Plot and pencils by George Perez, script by Len Wein.

Diana and her friends do battle with Phobos and Deimos.

I feel I should make reference to Batman's no killing rule, but you folks are always way funnier than me so I will leave any jokes to you. Okay, Superman has a no killing rule as well, but he’s not as obnoxious about it.

Diana has always been willing to kill if absolutely necessary. As she says, she's a warrior.

Superman can't go around killing because people would fear him.

Batman knows if he starts, he's doomed, but maybe he could make an exception for the Joker. 🤡

It's pretty much why Superman and Batman couldn't understand when Diana killed Max Lord.

Superman can't go around killing humans. It's telling the only time he's ever felt bad about killing someone was when the villain looked human (Zod). Max's spy pointed out that people were fine with Diana killing Medusa because she had snakes for hair but Max "looked like everyone else", so Diana had to actually prove she was justified in killing him.
